Coming from a background in newspaper and radio journalism, Robin made a name for himself as an on-screen news and current affairs reporter before joining the BBC as a documentary-maker. In 1999, he left the BBC and started his own independent TV company, Clearcut, making films for Discovery America, Channel 4, and Granada TV. He's a highly experienced three times RTS-winning film-maker used to overseeing a team and dealing with extremely sensitive contributors and complex subject matter on a wide range of factual projects. Genres include ob docs, drama docs, forensic science, investigative, history, travel, lifestyle and general factual.
