Cat Lewis
CEO, Joint Creative Director & Executive Producer
Cat has worked continually as a network executive producer since 2002 delivering hundreds of network TV programmes.
Before becoming an Executive Producer, Cat enjoyed a successful career as an award winning Producer/Director, Series Producer and on screen News Reporter for the BBC and Granada. Her broadcast career began at the age of 15 in 1980 when for three years she worked as a Presenter and Reporter for children’s radio and TV programmes in the North East of England.
Cat is a BAFTA judge, Chair of the Royal Television Society in the North West, former Vice Chair of Pact (TV’s national trade body) and Chair of Indie Club, which she set up in 2006 to increase communication across the sector to retain a talent pool in the north. Through the Indie Club she has successfully campaigned for Ofcom to tighten the criterion by which it regulates Made Outside London productions, to ensure each programme creates jobs and leaves an economic legacy, as was the intention of the Communications Act 2003. Cat was awarded an honorary doctorate by Salford University in 2016 for creating so many jobs in the north. She is a Global Ambassador for Manchester.
